A session of Parliament refers to the legislative period that begins following a general election and ends upon its dissolution or expiration. Each session encompasses the full term served by the elected Members of Parliament during that period.
According to the Constitution, Parliamentary terms must be no longer than 90 days.[1] Elections must be conducted no more than 2 days prior to the end of the term, and if not called before the 80th day, elections will take place on the 88th day.”
