After becoming a mechanic, it is recommended to purchase a plot and build a store or rent a shop to sell your products (so long as you have your Entrepreneur License). You can find available plots for sale or lease on our Discord. Mechanics can also advertise their expertise in vehicles under #business-adverts.

To gather resources, you can either buy them from player shops or obtain them in the wild. To access the wild, type <code>/warp airport</code>, right-click a monitor in the airport, and choose from one of the six wild starting locations.

You can check out each recipe by running <code>/recipes bord_raptor_voucher</code> and clicking on each part to view their recipe!

The Mason is a highly valuable job for anyone who needs to repurpose building materials. Think of them as material alchemists–skilled at converting walls, stairs, slabs, and other crafted items made of stone or minerals back into their original forms. In addition, there are some exclusive crafting recipes and shortcuts available to Masons.

What Masons do
As a Mason, your primary role is to repurpose building materials and provide valuable services related to crafting and converting various stone and mineral-based items. Your responsibilities include:

* Converting crafted items made from andesite, diorite, granite, stone, prismarine, and more back into their original forms.
* Crafting specific items like coral blocks and gilded blackstone that are difficult to obtain through regular means.
* Reducing smelting times for materials such as glass, bricks, nether bricks, terracotta, and more when using blast furnaces, making crafting faster. (Note: you’ll receive fewer experience points for items smelted using this shortcut)

Whether you’re assisting with construction projects, breaking down materials for reuse, or improving crafting efficiency, Masons play a crucial role in the world of building and resource management.

Information
Masons are valuable for those who need to create new things from existing materials, acting like building material alchemists in a sense. However, they can’t turn just anything back into its original form. Instead, they specialize in converting crafted items made from andesite, diorite, granite, stone, prismarine, and other materials listed below. But being a Mason is not just about conversions, as there are some unique crafting recipes and shortcuts available, too!

For instance, Masons can craft coral blocks from any type of coral, and even make gilded blackstone–two items that are difficult to obtain otherwise. Additionally, Masons enjoy reduced smelting times for a variety of materials such as glass, bricks, nether bricks, and terracotta when using blast furnaces, making crafting much faster than usual. However, keep in mind that you will receive less experience points for each item you smelt using the shortcut.

Whether you are into building, demolishing, or simply want to make crafting faster, the Mason job is an excellent choice. Check out the full list of materials a Mason can convert below!

Passed the exam? Now what?
It is recommended that you get your entrepreneur license, purchase or rent a plot or store to set up a storefront, then register a business with the Ministry of Trade! In order to see which properties are available, just run <code>/as info reselling</code>, <code>/as info forsale</code>, or <code>/as info forrent</code> in-game.
What Armourers do
Armourers on StateCraft have several essential roles:

* Crafting Weapons: Your primary task is crafting various weapons that are legal on the server. Recipe books containing the recipes for all the guns and ammo can be found in the government store.
* Selling Firearms: You can sell firearms in a chest shop. Utilize the <code>/iteminfo</code> command to obtain the name for the chest shop, making it easier for players to find your products.
* Understanding Firearms Laws: To ensure you stay within legal boundaries, you must familiarize yourself with the server’s laws regarding firearms. Possessing or selling restricted weapons can result in consequences.
* Crafting Ammo: In addition to weapons, crafting ammunition is a part of your job. Ensure you have the knowledge and materials to craft various types of ammo.

Crafting
To craft a firearm yourself, you need to place materials in the right shape in a crafting table. Recipe books containing the recipes for all the guns and ammo you can make can be found on the second floor of the government store, which can be found in the town hall. Find the town hall by following the arrow after running the command <code>/gps start govshop</code>. Or, you can find recipes through the <code>/recipes</code> command, under the Weaponry tab.

To gather resources for crafting, you can either buy them from other player shops or obtain them yourself in the wild. Buying from other players is more expensive, but it's less time-consuming.

Recipe Examples

* Musket Balls: 6 iron ingots and 3 gunpowder
* M16: 5 redstone dust, 3 iron blocks
* 5.56 NATO: 1 iron ingot, 1 redstone dust, 1 gunpowder

Making money
There are a few different ways to start earning money with your new profession:

* Purchase or rent a shop to sell your products. You can find available plots for sale/lease on our Discord server. For more information on how to set up a chest shop, check out the Chest Shops Guide.
* Use the #marketplace channel in Discord to auction off your goods. You get to choose the starting price, and interested players can bid higher on your auctions.
* If you don't want to do all of the business on your own, you can join a player-owned company to work for on the StateCraft Discord.

What Lumberjacks do
Being a Lumberjack isn’t just about cutting trees like any other player. You have an exclusive ability known as the “Tree Feller.” With a simple left-click, you can bring down entire trees at once. This special skill sets you apart from regular players and makes wood harvesting easier and more efficient. While anyone can sell logs, only Lumberjacks and Rangers have the advantage of the Tree Feller ability, giving them a competitive edge in the industry.

If you enjoy collecting wood and want to excel at it, this job might be perfect for you. We hope you can obtain this role and that it enhances your tree-related endeavors.

Lumberjack recipes
4. Galleries: Designers also curate galleries to showcase their artistic masterpieces. These galleries are spaces where players and art enthusiasts can appreciate and enjoy your creative work.

Dyes
Dive into a world of colors for your artwork by accessing the Dyes feature in the ArtMap GUI (<code>/artmap</code>).

This allows you to explore a wide variety of colors, with multiple pages of colors to choose from. You can view and select these colors while sitting at your easel and canvas.

Tools
In the ArtMap GUI, you’ll find various tools by clicking the Book and Quill. These tools include Bucket, Coal, Feather, and Compass, each serving a unique purpose.

* Paint bucket: The paint bucket serves as a filler tool. Left-click to fill areas of the canvas with the dye in your offhand. To undo the last fill, simply right-click while holding the bucket.
* Coal: The coal tool enables you to adjust the brightness of pixels, giving you more shades of colors. It’s useful for darkening a color once or twice. Hold the coal and right-click on a color to make it darker.
* Feather: The feather tool performs the opposite function of coal. Instead of darkening a color, it lightens it.
* Compass: The compass tool allows you to flip your art vertically or horizontally. Left-click while holding the compass to flip your art horizontally.

Crafting
Before creating art, you must:

# Craft an easel.
# Craft a canvas.

Both are essential for making art, and their crafting recipes can be accessed via the command /artmap. Additionally, designers have the ability to craft hats and cameras, findable using <code>/recipes</code>

To start painting:

# Place your easel.
# Take a crafted canvas.
# Right-click the easel to attach the canvas.

Now you’re ready to paint! Right-click the easel to begin painting. You can use left-click for individual pixels and hold right-click to draw lines.

To take a break from painting, press the shift key to exit the easel, ensuring your art is saved for later. After creating your masterpiece, you can save it while sitting at your easel by typing /art save [name]. Right-click your art with the paintbrush in your inventory.

Displaying art
To display your art, place an item frame and right-click it while holding your art. It will appear as a picture.

You can make copies by combining blank maps and the original art in the crafting square. The number of blank maps used determines the number of copies you receive. Remember, only the owner of the art can create copies.

Be cautious about your inventory while creating art, as picking up items while sitting at the easel and standing up will destroy the item, rendering it irretrievable.

To view other players' art, use the command <code>/artmap</code> and access artworks. Click on player heads to explore their artwork.

Cameras
A camera allows you to capture a still image of the world around you! All you have to do is point where you want to capture and interact with the item. Note that the cost of taking a picture is 1 paper, required to be in your inventory for the camera to work.

As a contractor in Alexandria, your role revolves around accepting contracts to provide either materials or labor for a variety of tasks. These tasks can range from building structures to collecting resources and much more. Here’s everything you need to know about this profession.

Contractors typically perform four main types of tasks:

1. Build: Your skills in construction might be put to use in various ways, including constructing buildings, redstone contraptions, farms, or essential infrastructure for businesses. Your work will be determined by the specific needs of your clients.

2. Destroy: The “destroy” task entails more than just demolishing structures. It can include activities like digging trenches, clearing land, or removing sections of a building to prepare it for a new purpose.

3. Collect: As a contractor, you might find yourself gathering resources such as crops, ores, or other materials for clients who lack the time or expertise to do so themselves. Your resource-gathering capabilities can be invaluable.

4. Kill: The “kill” task involves hunting and defeating mobs to obtain valuable drops. You may be tasked with collecting materials from creatures like creepers or other hostile mobs.

Getting paid
The compensation for your work as a contractor is typically negotiated directly between you (or your company) and the client. This industry is private, allowing you to take on multiple jobs simultaneously. To discover potential clients and job opportunities, consider promoting your services on the official Discord server and within the game.

Utilizing the StateCraft Discord can be a valuable resource for both advertising your services and finding potential employees for your company. Creating a dedicated Discord server for your company can streamline communication and work orders, ensuring a steady flow of income.

Passed the exam? Now what?
If you’ve successfully passed the exam to become a certified contractor, you might want to explore the Entrepreneur guide. This guide can help you navigate the process of registering a business. Alternatively, you can seek out existing companies that require your contractor skills.

The Carpenter is a great job for anyone enthusiastic about building furniture for people’s homes and businesses. Like many creating-centered jobs, Carpenters have exclusive recipes that only they can create. From chairs to plants to tables, Carpenters can create any piece to beautify people’s spaces.
Carpenters’ main job is to create and sell various furniture items that can make the buildings in the city and towns more appealing and realistic. Carpenters might collaborate with someone with an interior-designing eye to help advise and persuade clients to buy their furniture.

MissAndrist:

Welcome to the world of accounting! In this role, you’ll be handling the numbers and keeping finances in order.

What accountants do
Recordkeeping: Your first job is to keep a record of all the money-related stuff using things like invoices and receipts. Think of it like taking notes in a journal. This makes everything organized and easy to understand.

Summarizing: Then, you take all those notes and turn them into simple reports. Imagine making a summary of a big book. These reports show how the city or business is doing financially. Some important reports are bank balance, income, and expenses.

Financial Detective: Next, you become a bit of a detective. You look at those reports and figure out what’s going well and what’s not. This helps the business make smart decisions. You can also compare the business to others to see how they’re doing.

Explainer: Lastly, you explain all this financial stuff to people who need to know. This could be helping them understand how the business is doing, what might happen soon, or where to invest money. This helps everyone make smart choices based on the business’s money.

Keeping the books
In finance, we use something called double-entry bookkeeping. It’s a fancy way to keep track of money. Here’s the basic idea:

* There are five types of accounts: what is owned (assets), what is owed (liabilities), what the owner has invested into the business (owner’s equity), money from sales (revenue), and the cost of operations (expenses).
* There are two main actions: debits and credits. Debits are a positive change; they increase assets and expenses but decrease liabilities, owner’s equity, and revenue. Credits are the opposite.
* Accountants keep track of all the debits and credits in journals, making sure they are used correctly. Each journal entry needs at least one debit and one credit, as they should balance out.
* After that, the journal entries are entered into the general ledger, which is like a big book with all of the accounts and how much money is in them.
* We also use a trial balance to make sure everything is correct and balanced, like scratch paper used to show your work. This is important to keep our financial records tidy.

The goal of all this bookkeeping is to create financial statements that show how the business is doing financially. These statements help everyone make good decisions about how to run the organization.

The accounting cycle
The accounting cycle is how financial records are kept in order. It has a few steps:

# Record Everything: Write down every financial transaction that happens. This is like keeping a journal.
# Put it in the Ledger: After recording everything, records are put in the ledger, which is like a big book with all accounts and how much money is in them.
# Check the Balance: Make sure everything adds up correctly by doing something called a trial balance. It’s like counting all your money to make sure it’s all there.
# Adjustments: Sometimes, changes must be made to the records, like when there are bills to pay or money owed. Add these changes to the records.
# Final Statements: After making all the changes, financial statements are created. These statements tell us what the business is doing with its money. They're like report cards for businesses.
# Start Over: Reset everything for the next period. This makes sure our records are always up to date.

Financial statements
Financial statements are like a financial report card. They show how much money is owned, how much is owed, and if the business is making a profit. There are four main ones:

# Balance Sheet: This is a snapshot of the business's money at a specific time. It tells us what is owned (assets), what is owed (liabilities), and what’s left for the owner (owner’s equity).
# Income Statement: These are like financial journals for a specific time period, usually a few months or a year. They tell how much money was made and how much was spent. The difference is profit (or loss).
# Statement of Owner’s Equity: This statement keeps track of changes in the owner’s investment in the business. It tells us if the owner’s investment is growing or shrinking.
# Cash Flow Statement: This is like a money GPS. It tells us where the money is coming from and where it’s going. It helps us see if finances are being managed well.

Accrual & cash accounting
There are two ways to keep track of money:

Accrual Accounting: This method records money when it’s earned or spent, even if we haven’t received or paid it yet. It shows a more detailed picture of the business's finances.

Cash Accounting: This method only records money when it actually comes in or goes out. It’s simpler but may not show the full financial picture because it doesn’t consider money owed.

Management cccounting
This is all about helping the city make good financial decisions. Some important things to do:

* Budgeting: Make a plan for how the city will spend its money for the year.
* Variance Analysis: Compare what we planned to spend with what we actually spent to see if we need to make changes.
* Cost Allocation: Figure out how much it really costs to do different things in the city. This helps us make good decisions about what to do and how much to charge.
* Profitability Analysis: See which parts of the city make the most money. This helps us use our resources better.
* Costing Methods: Use different ways to figure out how much things cost. It depends on what we need the information for.
* Performance Evaluation: Check how well different parts of the city are doing and if they’re meeting our goals.

Financial Analysis
This is like looking at the city’s money health. We use special math (ratios) to see how well we’re doing. Here are some examples:

* Liquidity Ratios: These tell us if the city can pay its bills quickly. It’s like checking if we have enough cash on hand.
* Solvency Ratios: These show if the city can pay its long-term
* Profitability ratios look at a company’s ability to make profits compared to its sales, assets, or equity. These ratios help us see how well a company is doing financially and if it can make returns for shareholders.

<details> <summary> Current Ratio Equation </summary>

* X/Y
** X = Current Assets
** Y = Current Liabilities

This shows if a company can pay its short-term obligations without selling inventory. </details> <details> <summary> Acid-Test Ratio Equation </summary>

* (X-Y)/Z
** X = Current Assets
** Y = Inventory
** Z = Current Liabilities

This shows if a company can pay its short-term obligations using its short-term assets. </details> <details> <summary> Debt-To-Equity Ratio Equation </summary>

* X/Y
** X = Total Debt
** Y = Total Equity

This shows how much debt and equity are used to finance a company’s assets. </details> <details> <summary> Debt Ratio Equation </summary>

* X/Y

* (X/Y)*100
** X = Gross Profit
** Y = Net Sales

This shows the percentage of revenue left after taking out the cost of goods sold. </details> <details> <summary> Net Profit Margin Equation </summary>

Brewers are able to brew a variety of elixirs, special beverages that give effects to the drinker. You can sell these throughout the community and help support the roleplay element of the server, along with being able to have a good time and make some money.

What brewers do
Brewers craft elixirs on the server. Elixirs are unique consumables that only Brewers can make. Brewing takes time, patience, and skill to get right.

Getting set up
To craft elixirs, you need to set up the following:

Book of Brews: The Book of Brews contains all the recipes a brewer could need. To craft this item you need the following: 8 Empty Glass Bottles, and 1 Book. To craft this you must put the book in the center of a crafting table and surround it with the glass bottles. To be able to see the recipes, you must be a brewer.

Brewing Cauldron: This is used to ferment your ingredients into a mash, the initial step in elixir crafting. First, place a cauldron over a fire source, like a lit netherrack block or campfire, one block above the flame, as shown on the right. Then, put a bucket of water inside to enable brewing three elixirs per cauldron.

Brewing Stand: Some recipes require distilling. To do this, place glowstone dust in the top slot of a brewing stand and put the elixir bottles inside to distill.

Barrels: Some recipes require barrel aging to complete the elixir crafting process. There are two types of aging barrels available: small barrels with 9 slots are easy to store in your home or shop. Large barrels, on the other hand, can hold up to 27 elixirs and are constructed using various types of wood. They occupy more space, and each year of aging corresponds to 20 minutes in real time, which is also a full Minecraft day. Here’s how to make each type of barrel:

* Small Barrel (9 Slots + Always Oak)
*# Use 8 wooden stairs to construct the barrel.
*#Attach a sign to the lower right stair with “Barrel” written on the first line. They must be at least two blocks long.

* Big Barrel (27 Slots)
*# Use 1 fence, 16 wooden stairs, and 18 wood planks to build a barrel shape, as shown below.
*# Attach a fence to the bottom and a sign with “Barrel” on the first line at the top.

Sealing Table: This ensures that the elixir can no longer be modified through additional aging or distilling. It adds brackets around the star quality and hides specific details about the elixir, displaying only its quality, barrel aging status, and distillation.

To craft a sealing table, you simply take 4 planks of any kind, and 2 bottles and arrange them like a smithing table (with the bottles replacing the iron in the recipe).<div class="figure">
Fermenting: Once you have your ingredients ready, proceed to the cauldron. Make sure to have the right quantity!, then right click on the cauldron holding your ingredients and wait for the time to pass!
</div>
Tip: You can use a clock in-game to see how many minutes your brew has been fermenting!
Distillation: To initiate the distillation, set up a brewing stand with a single piece of glowstone dust at the top slot. Place the elixir bottles in the brewing stand and wait for the distillation to complete. Distillation is complete when the elixir reaches the required number of distillation runs, and it will automatically stop.

Aging: After distillation, check if the recipe specifies aging. For the Mystic Elixir, it requires 15 years of aging in oak wood barrels. As previously mentioned, 1 year of aging equals 20 minutes of real-time, so 15 years correspond to 5 hours.

Place the elixirs in the aging barrel. Right-click to open the barrel, and place the elixir bottles inside. After a few minutes, the year information will appear when you hover over the bottles. Once the elixirs have aged for the required duration, they will reach a 5-star quality and be ready for sealing. If any of the steps (Ingredients, Distillation, Aging) are displayed in orange or red, it indicates an error in that step, resulting in lower elixir quality.

Sealing: When you’re ready to package and sell your elixirs, use the Sealing Table. You can place up to 9 elixirs at a time in the table, and each one will be sealed within a few seconds.

Lumberjacks have the unique ability to convert wood items (like fences and doors) back into wood planks. All these recipes are done within a crafting table, except for specified blast furnace recipes.

Are you ready to become the next master chef of Reveille? Chefs play a crucial role in the well-being of the Commonwealth as they are responsible for producing our food and supporting many farmers and companies’ income. As a Chef, your primary task is to take crop items and transform them into delicious new foods for players to enjoy.

What chefs do
While your official job is to convert crop items into delectable dishes for players, the world of culinary arts is full of possibilities. In practice, chefs can do much more! For instance, you might collaborate with a brewer to establish a restaurant offering a variety of beverages alongside your meals. You could also supply your culinary creations to other players’ restaurants. If you’re not keen on venturing into the commercial sector, you can set up a rental agreement to operate a food stand on someone else’s property. Get creative and explore the vast culinary landscape!

Passed the exam? Now what?
Once you’ve successfully passed your chef’s exam, it’s recommended that you either purchase or rent your own plot of land to establish your very own food-related business. If this option doesn’t pique your interest or you lack the necessary funds or land, you can seek employment opportunities through the StateCraft Discord. Join the StateCraft Discord server to explore potential culinary careers.

However, to open your own business, you’ll need to have passed the Entrepreneur exam at the University and register your business with the Ministry of Trade.

How cooking works
To view all available items and recipes, simply type <code>/recipes</code> in-game.

Each recipe comes with its specific ingredients, and sometimes you might require containers as well. You can explore the ingredients needed for different recipes, sorted into categories like cooked food, desserts, and beverages. If there’s more than one page, you can navigate by clicking the arrow in the bottom right of the box.

To see the recipe for a specific item, select it from the list. If the recipe contains non-vanilla items, you can click on those items to learn how to craft them. To go back, click the red ‘x’. You can explore more pages by clicking the blue arrows and search for a specific item using the magnifying glass icon on the home screen.
